stayed 2 nights, and the lack of wi-fi turned out to be a tremendous inconvenience, as i do enjoy planning my day meticulously. absolutely no one thought to offer an upgrade for my trouble. although the surroundings were surprisingly nice, i was merely a regular guest in a sea of mediocrity. just couldn't bring myself to rate it higher.

The breakfast was a culinary dream, with fruit salads and a full English that fueled our days. The Wayside Cottage itself was a cozy gem with quirky charm and a comfortable bed. The picturesque setting made it all the more lovely.
Just a heads-up, if you rely on your phone for navigation, make sure to download your map first since signal can be spotty. Not a deal breaker, but if you're a light sleeper, a sleeping mask might come in handy as the blinds don’t fully block out the light.

The full English breakfast featuring free-range eggs from the chickens running around was a delightful start to each day.
Limited phone signal made navigation tricky at times, so downloading maps ahead of time is advisable.

stunning views, quirky cottage interiors, engaging outdoor spaces
Limited mobile phone signal really makes it difficult to stay connected!!! Noise from stable doors ruins the serene atmosphere better suited for a relaxing getaway!!! Improve the Wi-Fi for better planning and convenience!!!

A fair review – pros and cons
The breakfast selection was fantastic, featuring fresh fruit and a hearty English breakfast with free-range eggs. The location is a peaceful haven for nature lovers, with beautiful surroundings for hiking and exploring.
Some noise from stable doors could disrupt the tranquility, and limited dining options might leave you seeking meals elsewhere. Wi-Fi connectivity issues were a bit inconvenient for planning our daily adventures.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Burnside. The lovely surroundings offered a peaceful retreat, and my room was exceptionally well-appointed with all the comforts of home. Jenna's breakfast was outstanding, featuring eggs from her own hens and a wide selection of fresh fruit and cereals.
Wi-Fi connectivity was a bit spotty.

charming stay with wonderful features
The grounds are stunning with beautiful scenery that enhances the overall experience. Jenna's breakfast creations were delightful, especially the homemade jams that elevate the meal. We appreciated finding a high chair and child-friendly cutlery for our toddler, which made dining a breeze. The cottage itself was spacious and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable family stay.
The only downside was the slightly weak Wi-Fi, which can hinder those needing to plan online.

Fabulous stay surrounded by nature!
Had the best time in our ‘Robin’ chalet. Super clean and cozy, and my son loved it! Jenna's breakfast was a highlight, fresh local produce that filled us up. Outdoor dining was really nice, too. Just wish the wifi was stronger. it was a bit spotty at times.

We had an amazing stay in a quaint cottage with underfloor heating, which was perfect for the chilly evenings. Enjoyed the leisure room and the outdoor barbecue facilities, which made for relaxing evenings. Just a slight hiccup with spotty signal for some networks, but overall, it was a fantastic experience! 🌟
